They were first introduced through Hannah Lawan on Christmas day evening back in 2005, when Hannah informed Esther that she knew a guy that could fix her iPod!
After meeting that evening Esther and Mawuena didn’t see each other again until nearly 7months later when Esther returned from her university exchange program in Malta.
The two met for the second time at a African cultural festival at Sefton Park in Liverpool…little did Esther know that on this chance meeting Mawuena couldn’t even remember her name but he definitely remembered the face! After this second chance meeting the pair grew closer and closer and as they say the rest is history!
